Krissy discusses a warmup she calls the “flip-flop.” She has the skater get comfortable on inside and outside edges and rotating their shoulders back and forth. Almost like a skiing motion, the skater can then be challenged with a one turn pull while keeping their knee bent to maintain power.
Skaters stay on the back part of their blade while keeping their chest up. Krissy then discusses the importance of keeping the upper body relaxed to avoid fighting the motion or becoming tense. She finishes with some philosophy of not always needing to move your feet in the game, but utilizing pumps to get you where you want to go.
